Experiencing Dreams as Catalysts of Emotion Regulation
Dreams have famously been described as ‘picture metaphors’ of the dreamer’s most salient emotion (by Dr. Ernest Hartmann). Embodying the specific feeling constellated in a dream image promotes the processing of emotion initiated by the dream itself. Learn how to understand and engender the experience of allowing dream emotion to flow and change through embodiment of elements of the dream. In this webinar, you will learn about the nature of recurrent dreams and nightmares, when you should be concerned about them, and what you can do to respond to them – to either capture their wisdom, or metabolize their message so they can transform.
In this webinar, Dr. Leslie Ellis will:
Offer a brief experience of the dream embodiment process itself, so you have a direct felt sense of the topic as we discuss it
Explain how to safely invite dream embodiment, and why it’s so illuminating
Share examples of this process in action to demonstrate its depth and richness
Offer a live demo, sharing of dream images, and/or Q/A
